2008 6.4 white smoke at idle

Short term fuel trim on #8 injector is 8. The rest are between -1 and 1. Truck has no blow by, passes compression test on scan tool, has codes for egr sensors and dpf stuff (previous owner took dpf system off and didn't reflash the truck). I just bought it yesterday for nearly nothing. Runs smooth, has plenty of power but want to get this figured out to prevent future problems. Smoke smells like raw diesel. Not losing coolant or oil.

No codes, no miss, no compression issues. I did notice the oil smelled slightly of diesel fuel.

Potentially no codes, a bad/constricted injector would only show up on the Ford IDS scanner as a lower cylinder contribution.

Can't have Stuff taken off truck, egr and dpf without a reflash AKA TUNER. You are smelling diesel because it's probably trying to regen.

I understand that, but my question is about the #8 cylinder fuel trim being high. What tuner do you recommend? I'm looking at an h&s mini maxx. I don't want the truck cranked up because I know the 6.4's are temperamental but I do want the dpf and egr gone.

I have the H&S with the tow tune, works perfectly for me as I’m not carrying weight or towing about 98% of the time.
