motor start but slow rpm and no power

hi fist thanks for this great forum

i have a ford f250 6.0l turbo charged power stroke 2006, the truck start but the rpm raise slowly and have no power. after about 5 minute, the motor shut off. i replaced the 2 fuel filter the OBD say no errors, also the turbo seem working when rpm goes up. i suspect the motor located fuel pump, the one located on tank seem working because i changed the filter located under driver door & the fuel is comming. i suspect also the fuel injection regulator.

any clue? thx

Your truck has one fuel pump located in the unit where you changed the filter underneath. Suspecting a fuel pressure issue is reasonable if you are sure there are no codes. Many inexpensive code readers only show generic codes that apply to all vehicles and there is a long list of Ford/6.0 specific codes you will never see with one of those readers, it rare for these trucks to have no Codes at all. There is a smaller fuel filter on the engine, if you changed it, it’s possible the plastic ring at the top of the post the filter slides down onto (standpipe) came out with the old filter or is laying in the bottom of the filter housing. There is also a hex plug on the front of the filter/fuel pressure regulator housing for the purpose of checking the pressure. You will need a metric adapter for most fuel pressure test kits. The fitting size is M12x1.5, Most gauges are 1/8" NPT. Also, check the Tech folder for instructions on how to do a bubble test. If an injector is stuck open, cylinder pressure forces air back into the fuel system and can cause the issues you are seeing. If you missed it, the Tech folder is near the top of the first page of this (6.0 Diesel) forum.
