Salter & Plow controller locations

Please post pictures on your setup. I'm having a Boss plow and tailgate spreader installed the next 2 days and the plow will have the plug at the bottom of the dash but like to really know where everyone is mounting the salter controllers.

I had an 8'2" Boss V plow in my Ram. I used the hand-held control pendant so no permanent mounting was required. I used a strip of velcro thru the hand loop and around my right thigh to hold it in place while plowing. I found that to be very convenient, although I rarely needed to exit the cab while plowing.
If you have the outfitters switches, wouldn't one of them work for the salter control, providing it only requires an on/off switch?

Ok, I see...not a simple on/off control. Is it hard wired or wireless? What about adapting a cell phone/GPS holder that mounts to a dash vent or suctions to a flat dash surface?

Looking at the pictures online it looks like I can unplug the controller from the pigtail. I might just ask to have the dealer leave me enough wire hanging from under the dash and mount it to an adjustable cell phone type mount. Maybe something like this https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B071P2LK...ing=UTF8&psc=1

He mentioned possibly mounting it in the storage cubby in front of the cup holders. That might be ok if I can remove it after the winter.

Cubby is too small for that box and seeing it and reaching wont be ideal. Could you mount into a bracket that is attached to a cup that sits in the front cup holder so its up on a stand ? then you can take out in summer. I would have one cup holder filled for the plow (in front, and back could be for sander. Slide the cover over and you still have two cup holders available. A simple block of wood shaped like a cup and painted black with a mount to it would work....

I think your idea of making something to slide into the cup holder will work for the salter mount. I can unplug it from the pigtail when I don't need it that way.
