Fuel tank on my 76 f100 is bad along with the tank. Ordered both but the line on my sending unit is 3/8. New sending unit is 5/16. Local owned parts store looked thru the books and they say even 3/4 and 1 ton had 5/16 line. Wondering if anyone makes one? Called Dennis carpenter but no one answered the phone.

 

The Spectra sending unit that most parts stores sell are 5/16. I ordered the pickup from Jeff’s Bronco Graveyard and it is the correct 3/8.

I got a '77 tank that had a 5/16 sending unit in it. I used a pair of brass barb fittings, one was 5/16 to NPT and the other was 3/8" to NPT. One fitting was female and the other male.

 

Thanks for the info and pictures. I decided to go with the 3/8 sending unit from Bronco Graveyard.
