2nd row seats ac/heat controls works, but doesn't

I can control the 2nd row functions from the front overhead, but can not control the functions from the 2nd row seats even if the drivers overhead is on. I've played around with different combinations with the digital front controls on/off, overhead on/off and 2nd row on/off. It's as the 2nd row controls isn't even hooked up as nothing works or changes the functionality.

You've tried rotating the master slave fan control (drivers overhead) to the "Rear" setting? Yes, it's a basic question, but still worth asking.

Yes, I have. I've tried the master slave on low/high and tried using the 2nd row controls to control the speed, temp and either on floor or panel with no avail to control anything from the 2nd row controls.

New or old problem? Any recent maintenance or body work before this was noticed?

There was two occasions during the summer that I lost all AC and was able to shut it down, then restart it to regain my AC. I did some welding on it about a month ago. I don't drive it enough to know if its acting up or not, but I will see if the 2nd row ac panel is even getting power tomorrow night and I noticed that I have a coolant loss that needs to be tracked down on the drivers side.

I ask, because the harness from that console in the second row could have been cut or interfered with. It runs over to the passenger side in the headliner, and then down to the kick panel covers in the B pillar area. from there, some wires go back to the main unit in the front, and some go to the plugs on the right side under the 3rd row cup holder. I wish I had taken pics when I uninstalled that system a couple of months ago...

So you mentioned digital front controls, This may or may not help, as it's from the 2001 manual.

Should be somewhat simple, since you say you can control the rear from the master slave unit. The "Rear" setting on the master slave is either feeding power to the slave unit or it's not.
