Cracked dash 99 f250

As the title states, my dash has developed quite a few cracks. At first there were just one or two cracks, so I then bought a cheap dash cover. Well for the first time in about a year, I pulled the dash cover off to see how well it "protected" the dash. Well instead of 2 small cracks, I now have 7-8 total cracks

Anyways, I've been looking around online to try and find a whole new dash, and am coming up quite empty. Other than craigslist, does anyone have any ideas as to where I can find an entire dash assembly?

Check out your local wrecker. Should have plenty. They sold a lot of these trucks.

That's what I'll be doing sometime this week. Also, does anybody have any idea of how hard it is to remove the dash from one of these trucks? All of the cracks are on the back "half" of the dash. I know how to take the front piece off, but am a little concerned with the large part that includes the glove box. I really don't want an air bag to go off on me lol. Lastly, the gas and diesel dashes are interchangeable right? Or do I need a dash out of a 7.3 truck? Thanks for any help.

disconnect the battery before doing any work. This will prevent the airbags to activate

The dash itself is the same. The differences will be in the wiring and instrument cluster. Depending on the crack, a lot of dashes can be fixed with some caulk and a coat of paint. Could save you a lot of time and money.

I know that caulking would be a lot easier and cheaper, but it's got multiple 6 inch cracks in it, and it's cracked all around the some of defroster vents too. I don't think caulking is gonna fix the cracks to my liking.

Here's a little update. I found an 04 f250 dash that's the same color as mine and has no cracks or holes. My only concern is that I know the 04 and 99 f250 truck is the same, but the gauge cluster is different on an 04 than a 99. I don't need the gauge cluster, I'm just worried that the 04 won't fit in my 99. Does anybody know if it's a direct fit? I known this isn't a very popular topic, so any advice is greatly appreciated.
