hey Yall. I dont have a lot of knowledge about truck but i and trying to make my grandfathers old farm truck my new daily driver. It is a 75 F100 with a 351m and a motorcraft 2100 carb. I recently rebuilt the carb and it was running great for a wile. i let it sit for a few week and now i can get it to idle. I have adjusted the mixture screws and the idle screw on the carb forwards and back and every position i have tried the truck starts right up and then dies. I have also replaced the spark plugs and check the disturber and wire. I dont know what else to do at this point. Any ideas?

Easiest to check for spark when this happens. Pull a plug wire and install a spare plug and ground it. May need a remote starter switch or an assistant to turn key while cranking engine. Or check coil wire from disturber, it should be able to jump up to at least a 1/2" with a fat bluish spark to ground.

Sounds like it could possibly be your choke not being set or not set enough or it's not functioning at all. Did you mess with the choke after you re-built the 2100 carburetor? Although I'm not an expert setting the choke, I have read numerous threads on this forum setting them.
