Code P24B7

Can anyone help with the code P24B7. Went to the dealer and they stated that i needed to replace the temp sensors. Replaced all 4 of them and cleared the code but the mil light came back on and has the same code. I have looked on line and there is very little info on this code.

Might help if you identify your truck as to the year. Also, what temp sensors were replaced? The EGT's 11, 12, 13 and 14? If they charged you for the sensors, you might be able to get a refund if you are within the extended mileage coverage for the EGT sensors.

But the problem doesn't appear to be the EGT's 11-14 from what I read in the MY215 OBD System Operation manual from Ford. It appears to be the Particulate Matter Sensor Heater resistance bad or out of spec.

You did not say if they charged you for the Sensors 5J213 or replaced for free.

If you paid, they might be covered under this Field Service Action.

No, I do not have the PMS part number. You might try your local dealer's part dept.

If your truck is still under warranty emissions warranty, I would let the dealer trouble shoot it more and fix the problem.

I wish it was under warranty or I would let them do all the work. I am on the road working so am trying to fix it in the evening.

Possibly this. FC3Z-5L239-A. It's listed as "Sensor Assembly" which isn't very useful. Pulled from TSB 14-0179.

Edit: Found this thread.

You are correct. GC3Z-5L239-A replaces FC3Z-5L239-A and FC3Z-5L239-B.
