Looking for help with two issues with an IDI 7.3 swap.

Anyone have a basic wiring diagram with just the minimum wiring to run? I have most of the factory engine harness but need to figure out connections.

On the fuel filter holder housing there is a small black tube that almost looks like a vacuum line? Where does it go? Function? (it is not the fuel line or wiring)

You really should invest in a manual if you are going to be playing under the hood. The line that you are describing is a fuel return.

Usually you can find it at your local auto parts store.

As far as 'wires needed to run'...
1 wire from the "fuel shut off solenoid" on the IP to power.
That's all.

To start it, though, you either need to use ether, or rig up the glow plug controller setup.

Also, you'll end up wanting to run power, through the temp switch on the block(passenger side of the IP, near the front) and to the "high idle" solenoid, and cold idle advance.
