Oh, one of those situations and I can understand where the guys is a little butt hurt. The coordinator does not need to add insult to injury in a situation like this. It just makes for bad feelings amongst co-workers.

Morning Bill, Neil. Sounds like someone needs to grow up. Nothing like having to babysit at work.

Morning Pat. It's not my job to do it but my boss doesn't handle stuff like this, just lets it go. My patience is very thin for stuff like this.

Yeah. And if the production coordinator keeps it up at the rate he's at it, I'm dragging him outside and having a word. Kid wants to find another job now, and I kinda need him.

Well, some guys you have to get in their face to get their attention. I've had to do that once or twice here. But, for the most part, the guys in my crew work well together. Just the one is the problem child. He may not be here much longer.

I hear ya there. I try to let things go thru their proper channels to management (which keeps me out of that loop), but when no one else wants to respond then I gotta do what I got to...

Well, since I'm crew lead, our supervisor tends to throw it back down to me. He's a bit of a wuss, to put it mildly.

Sounds like my immediate boss. Avoids confrontation at all costs, no matter if it's needed or not.

Neil, it's definitely not the kind of situation I'd want unfolding knowing that January/February is going to be our next big crunch of work as PADOT makes their spring lettings.

Bad thing about our supervisor, he's been here about the same as the rest of the guys. He was the only one that would take the supervisor job, he was an apprentice in the shop! So, they don't have a ton of respect for him. And, since I've been here for 18 years, way more than any of them, he leans on me pretty hard for stuff that requires someone being a hard ***. I'm not above doing that, but, it would be nice to have a supervisor that had the ability to do so himself. At least our maintenance manager knows the situation, and has been very supportive.

Finally making it on here today. Truck is at the dealer, and I needed a ride to work! Started out of the housing plan this morning & the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. The guages all zeroed out, the odometer went blank and the truck started throwing codes. I got to the stop sign about 150-200 yards down the street & shut it off to turn it back on in an attempt to reboot the computer & nothing! I got to sit at the stop sign with my flashers on for 45 minutes. No sooner did the tow truck pull up & it fired right up without any alerts or warning lights.

Go figure. Today is the one year anniversary of me buying it!

Damn Jason. I guess that your truck wanted to give you an anniversary present. Hopefully it will be covered under warranty.
