Airbag light,, again. Diagram help
Does someone have the code list, and the sensor locations for a 92.
I replaced the clock spring a while back, and recently got a new module. Finally had a clear dash, it worked! Its been a couple weeks and I got some flashing the other day. Its gone now. But I want to look into it. It was either a 24, or 42 code.
I don't want to get the black tape back out.

might not be what you're after
I had the beeps of the backup airbag failure alarm that would intermittently beep at me for hours. Drove me even more nuts than I already am. My solution was to unplug the airbag control module.
Of course, this disables the airbag, but I'm satisfied with my choice and can foresee no possible negative outcomes. Anyway, should you want to do same, it's a blue-green box on the left wall of the car, about 1 inch above the black box that has the fuses. Disconnect the white plug. No more beeping. See crappy picture of my crappy solution.

on re-reading your post, it seems i didn't read your post before i posted. You likely know where your module is and how it works, given that you replaced it. You also seem to want to solve the problem properly.
My 94 has three crash sensors. one is right behind the 'ford' emblem on the grill, right in front of the radiator. second is by the driver's left foot, behind a piece of plastic trim. third i believe is in a mirror position, where passenger's right foot would be.
I have a proper shop manual of the vacuum and electrical somewhere. if you need, I can photo the pages and send.

Thanks, I had my module unplugged for years because of beeping, finally took the chance on spending the money on the module once I replaced the clock spring and got my horn and cruise back. The light has been blinking more lately,, its a 24 code, and I think that may be the front sensor. But I have gotten some conflicting info looking for code 24. But THANKS for the location info I will be looking for it today. Its not beeping at me, but still bugging me. The weird thing is it seems to stop flashing after about 15 minutes of driving. I thought maybe low battery? Its a newish Interstate battery and I charged it all night the other night and it still did it.

Found it! so for now I took it off, cleaned it and bolts, inspected wires, and pulled the connector plug apart behind the drive headlight and it looked good and clean(yes I disconnected the battery)
So in the morning we will go to work and see if it helped. I can replace the sensor. I'm just not 100% sure that is what code 24 really is.
I found this,,,
Fault Code 24-Safing Senor Diagnostic Circuit Open Or Low Resistance in a Primary Crash Sensor

"ford technical publications vacuum and electrical troubleshooting manual"
it's wonderful, especially for someone who is a novice, but is in love with his aerostar.
even more useful is a Bishko repair manual i got on CD-- covers drivetrain and body of 1994 ranger, explorer, and aero. puts chilton/haynes to shame.
I could send copies of the bishko to you if interested.
