Tranny and injector flush?

Tranny and injector flush?
I have used an independent garage for all my vehicles for past several years. I have come to trust them and almost consider the owner a friend. Not once has he ever tried to up-sell me on any repair or service.
Today I had my 2016 F-250 in for front rotors and pads (a whole other story). He called me at work and recommended a transmission flush, filter and fluid change as well as a fuel injector flush.
The truck has 40K on it and neither is called out in the owners manual. The transmission service isn't called for until 60K. He acknowledged this but still recommended the service "based on his experience".
Not sure what to make of it. I told him I would think about it and decide next time I was in for an oil change.
What do you guys think? If anyone else had recommended this, I would have immediately blown it off as an attempt at up-selling service but this guy has never done that... not sure what to make of it.

No the transmission service is not necessary yet . Unless there was some compelling signs that showed this was needed and I doubt there is, you can pass on those. If you look at the transmission oil on the dipstick I doubt it is anywhere near a color where you'd need anything like that or have to be caused for concern
Ford built your vehicle and the service schedule for things to be done by for a reason, now unless your truck was doing real severe service, I wouldnt be concerned with those items yet. You can buy fuel injector cleaner that you add to fuel that will do just as good of a job.

The transmission has two filters which do an excellent job keeping things clean. And i tgink in the manual it says 150000 mile service..long time...but they know more about it then we do...however you could do the filter change yourself and add whatever is lost when you drain the pan...wont hurt. .ill be doing this at 50000 mi.

I'm thinking he's trying to make extra money for Christmas no you don't need to do the transmission at this time and if you are using good fuel you it will never have to clean or run anything through the injectors.
I plan on changing my transmission filter at 60K and if I get it hot when I pull the plug I should get half of the fluid out. The only reason I'm doing it at 60K is because I pull right to the limit of my 6.2, after 45K miles 31K are pulling so it works hard.
