B0021 Driver Side Air Curtain SRS code

Airbag codes are best diagnosed with factory test equipment. With that said you can check the wiring from the RCM to the airbag module for circuit issues. What you will need to do is depower the airbag system. Once that is done you will need to disconnect the curtain airbag as well as the RCM, located under the center front seat (if equipped) or the front center console (if equipped). Once both ends are disconnected you can ohm test the circuits for continuity from end to end. Ideally less than .5ohms resistance. Then with both still disconnected check for continuity between the two wires to see if they are shorted together. Should read OL or infinite resistance. Then test each circuit for continuity to ground. Again should be OL or infinite resistance. Lastly with everything still disconnected you can check for a short to power of each circuit by turning the key to on and testing for voltage. You should not have any voltage with both ends disconnected. If you find no issues with the circuits themselves you should then inspect the connectors for damage, corrosion or spread terminals.
Whatever you do, DO NOT OHM TEST THE AIRBAG ITSELF. Doing so may deploy the airbag.
If you find no circuit issues and no issues with the connectors, it might be best to see the dealer. Without a way to simulate the airbag, you wont be able to determine if the issue is in the RCM or if its the airbag.

Thanks Evan. Outstanding info in that post. Heres what I found. Truck has been in 3 times for this issue and last time (about 1.5 years ago) they replaced the harness. Removed A pillar trim and found harness for air bag. Wires are twisted together till you reach a taped up section, maybe a splice. All I did was wiggled the taped section ( figured it couldnt be any worse than driving down a bumpy road) with ignition off. Turned ignition on and air bag light is off. This are looks very suspicious. Will leave A-pillar trim off and give it sometime to see if code comes back
