Tranny question

I just bought a 79 f150 4x4 4 spd with a 300 6 cyl stabdard cab. I was wondering how difficult it is to swap out the manual transmission for a c6 tranny with overdrive? Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's a huge undertaking even if you have a parts truck. Also the c6 is a 3 speed, no overdrive.

Youmight be disappointed in respect to the overdrive that c6 was equipped with, It was the Georgia model, down hill real fast!!
