I would like to gather as much info as I can...it came from ranch delivered to ranch from Lakota souix in South Dakota...find history on truck and restore to original for my grandson

Great pics... the Data and Patent Plates are two of the best I've seen. the serial tells us that it's a '48 also the SS Grill caps also.


You have dual wipers. The tool box built into the front of the bed is custom, looks to be missing the drawers. Does it have a heater inside?


Are there any other tags attached to the dash? Also are there any stamp marks in the firewall just above or below the firewall seam?

Looks like you found a nice truck to start with, Better shape then mine was even though mine was running and drivable. I too think the bed is very interesting and if it was me I would try and restore it as it is because of the interesting history of the truck. Great find. Hey, this is also my number 800th post.
