First question: 2wd or 4wd? If 2wd, the 351W is a small block Ford so you need 69-79 302 or 77-79 351M/400 engine perches from a junkyard. A 302 bell housing is needed or a van 351W bell housing. If 4wd, then you can use 77-79 351M/400 engine supports and a 302 or 351W van bell housing. If wanting new stands/supports, you van buy new from AutoFab:
1965 - 1979 Ford Truck 2WD
1967 - 1979 Ford Truck Four Wheel Drive

The fly wheel and pressure plate need to be of like dimensions. It may be obvious, but an 11” pressure plate is going to have a different bolt pattern than a 9 and 10”. I didn’t know this when I did some swapping. Just my .02.
It’s not so much the duty rating of the bell housing as the bolt pattern of the transmission to the bell housing.

TWO different 289 bell housings: 1963/64 Fairlane and 1965 Mustang before production date 8/23/64 has a 5 bolt hole pattern.
1965 Galaxie/LTD/Mustang/Falcon/Comet/Fairlane from production date 8/23/64 has a 6 bolt hole pattern, as do all 1966/68 289's.
You want the 6 bolt pattern, not the 5 bolt pattern.

Sanderson FF6-P shorty headers fit perfectly.
You need a flywheel with a 28oz. imbalance.

We are going to the Pomona swap meet and would like to score a bell housing. We would like to know what the bolt spacing on the front of the Borg Warner T-19 is so we don't get the wrong bell housing. We will make a carboard template of the back of the 351 windsor to take with us. We haven't pulled the 390 yet.

Here you go for info for your most likely candidate for a 4 speed, the BW T-18. The NP 435 is the other one used, but mostly used in 4wd's until 1979. Both use the same Ford butterfly pattern.
