spout open code

I am getting a spout open code, but the spout is changing the timing when removed and reinserted.
Plus I am getting horrible mileage went from 15 to 10 mpg.Exhaust pipe is black, no visible smoke. truck is 1992 f150 4.9, cat has been removed exhaust is 2 in 1 out muffler I think the shop took a 2 out 1 in muffler and installed it reversed.
Also have an egr code, the truck runs great it's just mileage is killing me any ideas appreciated.

I believe Code 18 is a CM or KOER code. Assuming it's from CM the definition is IDM circuit failure or SPOUT circuit grounded..

Since the timing is changing when the SPOUT is in my money is on an IDM problem. IDM = Ignition Diagnostic Monitor.

We had a recent thread on this topic: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...in-memory.html

Code 212 is the same as the two digit Code 18...

For reference:

The item labeled as Ignition Suppression Resistor is how the IDM signal is buffered then sent to the computer. In the thread I linked to the OP replaced it after diagnosing the issue as an intermittent open in the IDM circuit.

332 is not a valid 1992 KOEO code. Maybe a bad code reader.
Maybe a CM Code?

412 EOER:
Service Code 412 indicates that during Engine Running Self-Test, engine rpm could not be controlled within the Self-Test upper limit band.

Possible causes:
-- Open or shorted circuit
-- Throttle linkage binding
-- Improper idle airflow set
-- Throttle body/ISC solenoid contamination
-- Items external to Idle Speed Control system that could affect engine rpm.
-- Damaged ISC solenoid
-- Damaged processor

KOER 213: CHECK FOR POWER TO PROCESSOR

I do not think you are not getting the codes read right.

Possibly issue with modis and eec4? ran tests multiple times to ensure results repeated.

Service Code 225 indicates that the Knock Sensor (KS) signal to the processor was not sensed during the Dynamic Response Test after the ID code in Key On Engine Running Self-Test.
Possible causes are:
-- Damaged knock sensor.
-- Open or shorted harness.
-- Damaged processor.

Plan for today is tuneup just because, lol. Then test all codes using the troubleshooting procedures in alldata. will report back on what I find. Thanks for the help.
Priced a new truck optioned like Bessie and for the $40,000 price tag I can do a lot of repairs on the old girl she is in process of a 3.08 to 3.55 l/s swap, bed swap, and thinking of rear spring upgrades.
