Oil leak

Looking for advice on the level if difficulty replacing a gasket on my '02 Sport Trac RWD. The leak is where the housing between the oil pan and engine meet. Snugging the bolts did nothing to slow it down. It's not a really bad leak but enough that it's starting to make a mess of the driveway. I have to do the work in my garage on my back, so I'm wondering about the weight of this housing. Since it's RWD, I don't have a transfer case in my way. So the housing is 100 percent accessible after removing the starter. I'd appreciate any insight.
