Favorite Trims?

I was wondering the preferences for super duty.

I have a lariat...but coming to realize after a year, I barely use any of the features. Power mirrors and defrosting have been life savers. But power sunroof and rear window..meh. Id prefer less things to go wrong, personally.

However. I love the walk in closet size console vs a 40/20/40 seating.

I prefer the XLT...but it's what I have so I'm a little biased lol. Power mirrors, Power driver seat, cloth seats, power locks and windows. It's all I need in a truck. Although my friends 06 lariat is pretty nice.

Xl with chrome appearance package. Rubber floors and vinyl seats are a must for me. I like a simple climate control with ***** and radio with buttons instead of all the touch screen stuff. If I did it over again, I would have gotten power windows and locks, but only because you don’t get keyless entry(which I added aftermarket), market lights on the mirrors, and storage pockets on the doors. Not for the power windows and locks themselves.

I've had 2 XLT's and a Lariat. I really miss the Lariat. It was a base Lariat, and didn't have the sunroof, electric rear window, and other things. But one thing I really miss with it is the dual zone auto-climate control. My XLT has the power/heated/extending tow mirrors, and I really like them. Leather I can do with or without. I would have a Lariat again for sure, but a well equipped XLT would certainly be acceptable.

I have the Lariat Ultimate which is the same as a Platinum without the emblems. I bought mine when it was a year old, didn't get to pick and choose. I would have spent my money more wisely if I was buying new.

I love the King Ranch. That's what I really wanted when I bought this last truck but lariat was as close as I could get. Wish I had a sunroof, but love the power rear window.

XLT good balance between a few creature comforts without too much extra. I too have the center console, and it is awesome. Took a long time to find an XLT with that console, seems to be much more common on the higher trim levels.

As far as appearance, I really like the King Ranch trim. Hard for me to justify buying though, higher price, more features than I need, and lower payload.

I like the xlt. Kinda plain but I don’t like lots of gadgets that cut into my payload. I can add what I want like backup camera, sub woofer, fog lights and still have decent payload capacity.

I like the XL. I realized I really didn't need all the power stuff that my last few trucks have had.

I like the lariat trim package, it has most of the bells and whistles and not paying thousands more.

I will stick with my XL, not too much chrome, with power windows and locks, easy to clean van seats and rubber floors, added an after market cf player with bluetooth for 100 bucks, so no need for sync.

I went from an '08 XLT to a '12 K/R. Both have the large console, but I definitely give the nod to the K/R. I also love the power slider.

I too was looking for a king ranch when I found my lariat.
