John, I kept off the main roads and really enjoyed CO! I'll be back.

You were here before we got any major snow for the season (especially at the lower elevations).

Yeah, stay away from the main roads, way too many people here anymore.

Flurries are ignorable; 2 feet of the heavy, wet stuff, not so much.

I thought you were from California?

Nevermind, I just read your bio/profile/whatever... yes, you are most likely the one I remember from California when I was out there with ND Bill this past September (and hangin' a bit with Steve Price in years past).

I don't understand the logic, though; you're moving back to Illinois because, um, because Illinois is more broke than California????

Well, define "broke"... as in "has no money?" Didn't California file for bankruptcy or some such not real long ago?

Or broken?

And Illinois is better? They send their governors to jail - in fact, we even have a former Illinois governor in one of our prisons here in Colorado.

I'm rambling... nevermind....

Chris, if you don't mind a rambling thread, read about it all here.

I drove over Monarch on Sunday on my way here.
Not as much snow on the pass as you had - thankfully.
