So with the medium tow tune, around 10,000ish pounds would be the max to safely tow with it? Maybe more or maybe less? 10,000 pounds is about the max I tow, and it doesn't happen that often. Although there was that one time I pulled out a stuck dump truck with a loaded trailer...I do believe the chevy boys at work were jealous on that one

Saw that I was tagged in this thread. Have been out of the country for two weeks, so sorry on the delay.

I'm in the process of ordering a Hydra with 1023's set of custom tunes for my F350 with sticks and a bigger turbo.

Currently have a TS 6 pos chip with custom tunes from Swaps, don't like the 6 pos chip or the driving ways of the truck. Looking forward to seeing what becomes of it after getting a Hydra in it.

Mugly had Jody's tuners on a DP setup and I enjoyed that for the better part of 8 years.

I should mention that my preference for heavy tow tunes is factoring my 175/80 injectors which always deliver more power than stock injectors. These large injectors deliver a significant increase in power over stock.

I broke down and ordered a Hydra and tunes from 1023 yesterday while they were on sale. Even got the green light from the Mrs I ordered a heavy tow, and daily econo. Pretty excited to see how it wakes the old truck up.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I also got to test out my medium tow tune today. Pulled two Case IH combine heads that were 44 ft in length and roughly 9000 pounds. Granted I never got above 30mph as the heads like to start walking all over the road above 30mph, but the truck pulled them like a champ. Shift points were spot on and temps never got too hot.

What about PATS? Do his tunes work with PATS or disable it like some other tuners?

Anyone that bought tunes had a chance to try them out and report yet? Specifically the Daily Econo tune? My Hydra is sitting in the mail at home, so as soon as I can get up plugged in and a serial number sent to them Ill give it a try.

As for the street shredder tune (which I just tried out) it absolutely blows the php 120 race and 140 extreme out of the water. It also burns extremely clean and is very easy to daily drive. It will puff out a decent amount of smoke if you mash the throttle, but it's a more aggressive tune, I'd expect it to smoke.

I'm still surprised how much these tunes woke the truck up. It is an absolute blast to drive now.

Here ya go. This is what I think about them

The 1023 tunes are better in every way on my truck. The shifting is smooth but firm. The shift points are the best I've had on the truck. Power delivery is the smoothest I've ever had on my truck. The idle is rock solid steady. The truck is also quieter at idle and all throughout the RPM range which is nice. The throttle is a little touchy, but nothing outrageous. All of this is on the daily economy tune. I haven't had a chance to try street shredder or my medium tow tune, but I will report on those tunes when I use them. So far I am very happy with 1023 diesel. Thanks for a great tune dusty!
And this too
