Air suspension bypass

Hello all,

I have an 08 Expy and 5 years ago I purchased the bypass kit for the rear air shocks which also came with the plug in sensor to trick the system. My question is, I now need a new strut assembly as they are squeaking terribly, can I purchase the regular assembly (on line on about $170), or are the conversion shocks/strut assembly required as they are different? ($380) A big difference.

Thanks for any help you can give.
