A HUGE improvement! It's not just the rain and snow, it's the needles and leaves from trees that creep into the joints at the fenders, running boards, bed wood etc. This soon composts into dirt that holds more moisture and on and on. High five on the shelter!

Yes but the constant rain and moisture out here has this thing sweating on the inside. I have a few ideas, like a solar powered fan to create air flow in the place. Another is to attach a tarp to the tops inside bars so it acts as a second inside layer to keep the moisture from falling back down on the truck. But so far this seems to not happen much.
The fan may be the best idea.

I got the brake cable today from another place (because Macs did not have stock)
Here is a picture:

Made in Argentina, looks really well made.

I will paint it black and lube up the cable.
Anyone know if this has a plastic inner liner?

I bought it from George Moir Antique Auto Parts in Alberta. George Moir Antique Auto Parts Ltd. More money but it was in stock.

Living about 50 miles south of you, I might recommend you try a fan with a water turbine on the opposite end of the fan shaft. Place it under your nearest gutter downspout and you will have all the airflow required. In July you can switch it over to solar for a few months or just unzip the end flap. Looks like 4 days of dry weather coming up!

Trans no. I presume. Looked up C4TT 7222 but found nothing. Maybe it is C41T 7222 ? Looked some more and found it may be a T9 from this post.

The trans cover above and below is a question to answer. There are two metal pcs (On the left above and right below) that look like knock outs from the factory that were never removed. Anyone know what these were for? So while looking for my trans I found this post so I think these knock outs are for a PTO.

I need one of these. Where can I get one? Mine is rusted on the right side. Anyone have one or a suggestion of where to look for new old stock??

For my 1942 Ford tonner (122" wheelbase), I bought my transmission cover from Midwest Early Ford. I understood that they got their stock from Northern Classic Trucks and they have very few left.

The emergency brake cable for my truck was NOS from Fred Wilmer at Southside Obsolete. He can be contacted through PM on the Ford Barn site as Barnfind08.

I hope that helps. Norm

I got my 4 new tires today, plus tubes. I thought that you could only get Tornel tires but it seems there is a brand called Samson. At least that is the kind the tire store here in Langley got me. Been way too busy to look at the truck let alone work on it. Made a nice new pad for it out back and will put up a tent soon as the gate in the fence is finished being expanded. The truck just can't turn that tight & the opening was only 9ft. Now I have 17'.

Me neither, but they are really good looking. I think that the Tornel is the only TRACTION tire on the market in 7.50x17. I bought a set of new hiway types at the Portland swap meet in April and I also have a set of Michelin radial hwys that haven't been mounted. With my 65th birthday last month I don't think I need to hoard 7.50x17s any more. I have a nice stash for a guy that drives the old stuff about a thousand miles a year.
