My understanding is the Ranger EDGES 2wd use a lot of 4x4 brake parts including the pads.....
That's probably because the 2WD Edge uses the same front suspension (SLA/torsion bar, as opposed to coil/spring) as does the 4WD Ranger.

All - thanks for all of the guidance in the removal.

Now ready to replace the wheel bearings (inner & outer) rotors. Viewed a you tube video for replacing the wheel bearings and one area I have a question. After installing the inner bearing and seal then mounting the rotor then installing the outer bearing, nut etc...? The video mentions tightening/torqueing to 17-25 ft lbs then backing off a half turn then torqueing to 18-20 inch lbs. Is that correct? If so why and are the above torque values correct for my 2000 2wd Ranger?

Sounds about right. Do you know how to pack bearings? (no offense)

Also you need to turn the rotors as you torque to spec in order to bed or seat the bearings properly

Again, no offense, but the guy in the video is kinda wimpy on packing his bearings.

You need to put a nice blob of grease in your PALM, then start pressing the edge of the bearing into the edge of the grease hard! You need to SEE the grease come all the way through the bearing all the way around.

Ok so once the bearings are packed the rotor is mounted on the spindle and torqued to 17-25 ft lbs. to seat the bearings (when torqueing turn rotor) and then back off a 1/2 turn then torque to 18-20 inch lbs.

Only bearings receive the grease no grease anywhere else?

No grease anywhere else. You'll need to put the inner one in before the seal is put on though.
