Little bit of trivia here: The Hydra was developed between Bill at PHP and the actual maker of the chip. I don't know what arrangement was made, but the original maker is no longer supplying the chips. Or to put it another way... Bill is no longer ordering them from the original maker.
Yup, it doesn't matter how worthy the cause, FTE doesn't allow fundraisers, donation drives, charitable contributions, raffles, etcs, to be posted, hosted, talked about or organized on the forum.
Sorry guys.

No need to apologize for keeping us on the up and up, Stewart! My apologies for having initiated the issue without having done my due diligence to see if it could even be mentioned. Just count me in as a member of your "Job Security Team".

It's all good.
We were kept on our toes when Diesel Tech Ron passed away and lots of people were posting the fundraiser link his family started.

Stewart, would it be within the FTE policy book to allow a thread that mentions a crowd (Ford truck lovers) funding initiative outside of the FTE world?
OR
Perhaps something posted in the For Sale section ... i.e. For Sale, a donation opportunity leading to a set of "tunes" once the initiative goes live and is successful? It's sort of an R&D thingy right!
Just askin'.

I know you're just asking, but I really couldn't have been more clear.
I'm not sure what part of "posted, hosted, talked about or organized on the forum" wasn't clear, but again, to use the passing of Diesel Tech Ron as an example, when his family started a Go Fund me page, FTE users were posting the link in various forums at FTE. That's not allowed and the links and posts were removed.
There is no way around this. There is no loophole. If we even get a whiff of this being talked about on the forums it will get deleted. I'm really sorry guys, I'm a huge Cody fan but FTE isn't mine and I don't make the rules.
In fact, this thread has done what it was intended to do by Cody, to let all y'all know. If it changes, word will get out, but until that time, there's nothing to discuss in this tech forum about this anymore.
