my current tires are likely 23 years old and due to be replaced. They are wide whites and they make the truck all cute and cuddly looking. At least that is why I figure more woman comment on this truck and ask about it than guys do. In fact of all the cars I got, this one is the chick magnet. Woman don’t care about corvettes or muscle cars but they all comment on this. Already been in two weddings (at the request of the bride) and soon to be a third. Another story.
But here is the thing, I like my cars stock and my trucks work like. Wide whites are no way stock and look way more like a tuxedo.
Are the the white tires what make the truck look formal and attractive? Or will I loose its appeal if I go blackwall?
Ok, you have a nice truck there and that is a great photo of the ladies on it.
The blackwall/whitewall opinion question comes up from time to time. It is a matter of preference from both the owner and observer perspective.
Since that is hard to quantify and take action on....lets do some objective analysis.
Your truck with whitewalls has three smiling girls in the bed. The two standing near it can't be counted since they didn't get as close to the truck.
My truck with blackwalls had seven smiling girls in it.
That has to mean they preferred the blackwalls.
It's all about what the ladies like.
Your truck will look good with them. And since blackwalls can be obtained with much higher load ratings you can fit more girls in the back.

Tom, there is a minor problem with your theory. You seem to be attracting guys as well. Do the wide whites repel guys? If so, then is 3-5 girls better than 7 girls with guys hanging around.
Ed, could have asked the ladies if they wanted to go for a ride and they could be gone in a heartbeat. You on the other had would have to separate the wheat from the chaff first.
Even before I clicked on the title of this thread, I answered in my head, "Blackwall!" But then I saw which truck it was and thought that it is a Merc with black fenders, and with the Highland Trail Lodge graphics, that white walls might be appropriate.
This speaks volumes coming from me a pretty straight stock no frills truck guy. my thinking is this: I could see a lodge putting on whitewall to pretty up their truck to help draw in customers. I could see this truck at the RR Depot or in town picking up supplies for the lodge.
Can someone photo shop blackwalls on that picture to compare?

I didn't know the bride but she had seen the truck and asked if I would oblige. She said it was the grey color that she loved as that was the color they would be wearing.
I don't think she tires mattered! LOL!
