It's easy to see that this truck isn't stock. But the suspension tech under the skin is pretty impressive. The HP compiled a bunch of Instagram posts showcasing all the work, and they're awesome. Check them out here!

I love the pre-runners. The function just proves to me that the whole trend of huge lifts and huger tires are the pavement pounder wanna-bes and not real purpose built trucks after all.
Even the basically stock twin I beams were a favorite of the off road racers clear back to guys like AK Miller in the 60s.

I mean yes and no. Pre runners are built specifically to go fast over rough terrain. Other trucks are built to go fast thru mud, others slowly just thru deep mud, others slowly over rough terrain. It really depends on your environment. (And trust me I’m not sticking up for the god awful sema POS’ with 20â€rims and ballon tires and half a lift) I hate mall crawlers just as much as the next guy but don’t knock out the rest of the purpose built trucks just cz a few kids with daddy’s money try to emulate them lol

Id love a prerunner but it wouldn’t do me too much good in Indiana

Hotrods began life emulating real race cars. The huge tire, jacked up trucks are probably popular because of what a lot of the people now adults who grew up on, monster trucks. Most often the looks are more copied than the performance. I've tried driving them and quickly grew weary of climbing up, huge howling tires that wear out too fast, prematurely broken or worn out stock parts. It was like when we were trying to drive solid lifter big block 4 speed muscle cars with 4.56 gears to work all week just so we could be cool cruising on Sat. night. It got old fast.

On a side note, I wonder if you could get those grilles out of South America, like Argentina or Brazil? They look a lot like what they used on the later versions of the bumpsides manufactured there
