Complete locking mechanisms 51 F1

I need everything, mechanism, rod, latch, striker plate and post for both doors or a work around. Suggestions? Will hardware from a 53 work?

If you need it all just do a after market pop lock system. It gives you push button control on both doors. Buying all the internals may be pricey.

Thanks, looking at that also as a solution. Any suggestions?

Still looking for locking door latches< RH and LH. Any suggestions would be helpful. Have the old ones but they are well used.

Hi ric,

Since you live in Arizona your best bet may be to buy a set of complete doors from a larger truck (F4 to F8) at a junk yard and plunder everything you need. It has been my experience that buying all the used parts piecemeal will cost quite a bit when you include shipping. Doors from a larger truck like a firetruck won't get much use and would have been further away from the ground so they would have stayed cleaner and drier over time. Some folks sell a pair of doors for $150 if you pick them up. Then maybe you can sell the door shells and get some money back.
You can also get most of the parts new from Dennis Carpenter or LMC or Mid-Fifty - but it will cost a lot - not sure if you are prepared to do that. It is the fastest way to have everything you need and at the same time you can get the new weatherstripping and rubber seals.
Hope this helps,
Tom

There is an eBay seller offering new RH & LH door latches. Can't speak to the fit or quality but will give them a go myself soon. Search using 'ford truck door latch'.
