I looked at my outside vent today and I don't have those tabs. There is nothing there.

Vent Suggestion

I hate when it gets windy in the desert and that vent door starts making noise flapping in the wind and I have to go outside to lock it shut so it stops banging. Then when she needs to use it to keep the smoke out of the trailer and it is locked shut and you have to run out to open it up.

The wife had a great idea for that vent and even fixed it herself one day. I come home from work and she said come look at what I did.

By using a thin piece of tin glued to one side with shoe goop, and a refrigerator magnet glued to the door. She said she had to keep making the magnet shorter until the fan had enough power to blow it open by itself when she turned it on.

Here are some pictures of it, it works really good and keeps it from making noise and the air from blowing in.
