loom is good, heat shrink tube even better.

the fittin ends that are tapered rely on the seat of the connector to seal so no tape there.

tape is needed on the non tapered straight machined fittings that got to the cap, and to the bypass mount surface.

the billet cap that goes on the fill hole gets a rubber washer ....falls off all the time.

This is the set up I have.

Here is what I have for the install.

All parts cleaned up and taped. Cleaned all the parts out with brake cleaner. Used the yellow gas tape.

I used a piece of galvanized angle for the bracket. Actually worked really good. Had to move the coolant filter forward due to the fact that the steel braided lines that come with the kit are just long enough. No extra.

Top side will the caps installed.

How I ran the lines.

All secured up and zip tied.

Top side all hooked up.

Filter installed. Put 1 qt of oil in the filter to start. That’s what the directions off Sinister Diesel website.

Another question, since you add a gallon to the filter during install. Do ou pull the filter and drain it every oil change? Or is it just gonna be a 5 gallon capacity and just gets 4 changed at a time?

I used to to remove the filter and drain it but the filters get chewed up pretty bad with the claw filter wrench I use....so now I disconnect the oil line from the oil filter cap and use this fitting to force air thru the bypass filter and 10 minutes later the oil in the filter drains into Pan. Then I drain the pan.

That makes sense. What pressure you use the air at? Don't want to damage the filter or anything.

Also made a short video of everything installed. The bypass kit and a pressure gauge for the coolant system. With it was lighted but it works.

The pressure varies with % water and engine temp.

on start up cold I get 4 psi, 6 to 8 once warmed up, and 10 to 12 when pushed ng th engine on a hot day.

That makes sense for what I have been seeing. Thank you. So nothing above 16 psi and if you see 0 that's bad too.
