226H Dipstick?

Any idea where I'd find one? Mine mysteriously went missing from my tear down box and it's the only component I need to finalize this build.

I see on Mac's this V8 dipstick but not sure if it's a shared part.

Any other sources or input?

I may have an extra one from an engine I parted out. Let me root through my parts boxes and see if I have one to give you.

Yep, I found it and confirmed fit against the 226 in my '51.
It's in good straight shape - just needs a bit of type '0000' steel wool polishing on the bottom half to make it shine and a coat of primer/paint your color choice on the top half. The total length is 18 3/4" and the distance from the bottom to the sealing ring feature is 9 3/4".

I also found a shipping tube that it fits in and will send it your way if you can use it. Shoot me a PM with your mailing info.
Maybe we can trade a small box of California SEE's Chocolates to cover it? My wife likes those and they don't sell them around here.

One dipstick is in a shipping tube on the way cross-country to ACL in California. Another inline 226 will be running soon.

That's the last part I was searching for before firing this thing up for the first time in 35 years! Very thankful for the help!

I've already started on a thank you package shipping out Monday.

Reviving this thread

My wife's father recently recently gave her his 1948 F1, she remembers driving it when she was 9y.o.
My phone won't send pics *&%$# .

I am reassembling the truck. The 226 was rebuilt but is missing this dipstick! He had several flat 19" dipsticks which don't fit.

I don't have any more spare ones, but I did just measure mine and you are looking for a dipstick that will indicate a 'full' mark at 7 1/4" from the top sealing cup.
The 'danger' low mark on the stick is located at 8 5/8".
This is what they look like.
In case this helps.
