19.9mpg full tank, the only thing that saved my mpg was I didn't regen during the tank. After regen it would have brought me down to 17ish for the tank. 60 mph average all on the highway.

Right at 22 in my 11. This was coming back from Colorado, empty, just myself, using Diesel Kleen, no tail wind, but is all downhill from there to central Texas. I did average about 65 mph, sustained 75 on most of the open hiways. It was Middle October, temps were in the 60's. 4WD, SuperCrew, at the time 88k on the odometer. All B5 fillups. Salida, CO, Amarillo, TX and Jacksboro, TX.

ONCE I got 23 mpg on a trip from SLC to Jackson Hole and back, 600 miles at 65 mph

But I mostly get 18 empty on the interstate at 80 mph

Around town commuting is more like 15 mpg
And towing is usually in 10-11 mpg range

This is a bit of what I imagined.

I'm not trying to find how to "save" money. Ultimately I am fine towing the small load I have with the Lexus sedan as I have been doing but I'd like to get a truck. Being the F-150 and F-250 are similarly priced...I'm opting for the latter. I also spend most of my mileage driving on the highway around 65mph which I figured is the sweet spot for these rigs. From what I see on a similar post I made in the 6.2 section...the diesel takes the cake by an average of 5-6mpg (up to 8mpg better on the peak "best mileage reports") more breaking even their cost per mile (this is important to me as I don't have the most cushy of jobs). If I was just commuting around town, I'd get the 6.2 in a heart beat. But the longer days on the highway during the weekends makes the diesel favorable.

Thanks for everyone posting up! :-)

FYI: The average poll responses average to 21 mpg over the small sample of 24 respondents.

16.0 mpg is the best I have ever seen from my truck. That was a 220 mile Hwy trip between 70-80 while I was breaking in the engine.

I use my truck to tow stuff and rarely drive it without something hitched to the bumper. Lifetime average MPG with 10,600 miles on the clock is right at 10.82 mpg hand calculated. I use PM-22 in every tank.

2016 F250 CCSB FX4 20" Wheels 3.55

Many of our crappy highways are limited at 55 or 65 mph so that helps out a lot for me. I usually average 17 to 18 mpg not towing...not bad for a dually with 4.10's.

Like most others i didn't buy an F450 to run down the highway empty. There have been a few times for partial tanks I ran empty and got as high as 19mpg. Mostly under 55 mph. When I do use it as a daily driver it's around 15 mpg. These are from the overhead backed up with hand calculations. The overhead is about 1mpg high on a full tank of fuel.
Truck is 2011 F450 KR, 4.30 gears

9.9 mpg over several tanks - and mountain ranges - with 5,000 pounds in the bed and dragging 5000+pounds behind. It's those knobby tires on the Jeep that cause the extra load.

I believe I set it by using the Fuelly - Track and Compare your MPG website.
