Help with identifying the rubber side trim/molding on side of truck
Hello all,
My project has been going on for awhile! Still making progress. My question is regarding the side rubber trim that runs along the side of my 76 F250 460 ranger. Are there only certain years/models that have it, was it an option, or have people just taken it off over the years? I'm debating if I want to keep or remove them. I guess if it identifies the truck as a 76 or ranger it might persuade me a little more to keep them. Let me know what info you guys have on them. Thanks.

The front fender, door and cab corner mouldings with the black vinyl inserts are also the same as 1977/79 Ranger XLT & 1978/79 Lariat with Race Track Mouldings.
The bed side mouldings with vinyl inserts are different with Race Track mouldings, as the ends are curved where the vertical mouldings attach the upper mouldings to the lower mouldings.
