2014 F350 Remote Start Install Antenna Kit
#16
Larry I did buy those 2 modules, yes.
I haven't checked the RF antenna again. It was working when I had the glovebox open. So, maybe when I buttoned everything back up it came unplugged.
I will look at it tomorrow afternoon.
This is all for my F150.
In the morning I am going to attack my F350 SD for the same install.
Thank you for all of your help. I really appreciate your time and expertise.

Hi Larry. Not the 150 yet. My wife has it at work till 1400.
I am into my 350 and I knew this wasn't going to be fun. I plugged the VSS, the antenna, turned on the alarm and last but not least programmed a key in FORScan. Nothing happens when I hit the remote start button. I looked into the OBDII wires and found this.
I will fix those splices but how can I tell if they moved any wires in the plug or outright cut them off? There are more wires on the VSS's (male) OBDII plug than on the 350's (female) OBDI side of the plug.

Sounds great....
One thing I did on my car and truck was sell the cellular function. My area has limited cellular signal....when installed, it was nice....the text send when the alarm is activated.....the ability to "phone" the car and set up a start time so it is cool for you...
just a note in case it happens....hopefully Ford/Audiovox has the problem fixed....one of mine would go to sleep when the cellular remote start hasn't been used in 72 hours....it would not wake up via the phone app nor the website app....I had to call Ford/Audtionvox Help for them to send a wake up signal.....it would remove it from sleeping....this was happening about the time I sold both my cellular modules, so unaware if the problem was fixed....so, be aware...
One think I did when I removed the cellular module was add the Long Distance Bi-directional Antenna to the windshield p/n DL3Z-15K603-C (approx $55.00) and the bi-directional fobs. You can buy new fobs under part number DL3Z-15K601-A (approx $65.00 each) or off eBay under FCC-ID ELVATRKC model 4360321 one button 4360320 IC 3671B-43603200 for less than $10 each used. Some may have Subaru labels but they work just fine. You can find some with panic button at times.
