Need urgent help, stuck on interstate with anemic truck

1999 F250 stuck on side of interstate with anemic amount of power, half full of fuel, and running, can't get above 11mph if climbing a hill, 40 if on level ground, trans did seem to shift odd just before issue started like it was slipping into another gear, still drove forward however .

needing any possible assistance please.

How's EGT's and smoke? Hutch mod been done? How's the idle? First thing I'd guess is restriction of fuel flow somewhere. Is scanning it a possibility?

Someone had a very similar problem about 6 months ago, it was Steve who is an RV mechanic. His fuel pump would provide enough pressure to idle, but when applying fuel to the engine with the pedal the fuel pump would fall short. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

I64 West bound at exit 48, Kentucky

SES has been on sonde I bought the truck and has been running on with no issues, don't seem to see any smoke at art, nothing no black or clear smoke. Put fresh tank of fuel in also.

i don't have my tablet with me at the moment so scanning may be hard to do. It idled between smooth and rough. At times it sound like my old international farm all tractor chugging in low. I just replaced the fuel pump with a new OEM bosh fuel pump a bout a week ago. Need to get into tank to inspect but I suspect H&H haven't been done yet (truck does not show signs of failed plastic foot yet).

if I let it idle and stop the gas while in park I can see a light haze of white smoke from the tail pipe. At idle nothing

It's hard to do when you get caught out on the road, with some luck a member will be close by. First thing I'd try would be to blow air from the pump back. Remove fuel tank cap first and you don't need a lot of air. That would blow stuff off of the in tank screens.

I will give that an attempt, from what I can tell (via butt dymomater) it feels more like it may be a bad batch of fuel.

update: after sitting for a bit and dumping the fuel bowl the truck has regained its power like nothing happened …the enigma strikes again…?????

indeed, I have my brother attempting to come to the rescue, to follow me to a near by Autozone so I can pick up some new ZD-11 glow plugs, and test the batteries, I'm suspecting battery issues, as they go flat after a few days of sitting parked

Chevota_72 is starting off with a positive reputation.
Aftermarket glow plugs have been known to swell up in the heads and cause serious issues. Should stick with OEM.

X2 on the GP's. Have you replaced any other parts/sensors with non-OEM parts? Would be worth investigating, but based on current status it looks like a fuel problem to me.

Agree.....
I am guessing that you do not have a fuel pressure gauge installed?

I have a dual gauge set up, however the wires need to be redone, I have confirmed one battery is showing signs of failure so I will be replacing both batteries.
