Stock Covers with Aftermarket Rockers

Does anybody know if any certain brand of full roller rockers have a lower profile than others? I want to use my stock valve covers with a mild cam.

What engine , a 351W? If so you will have use some taller after market type valve

covers to clear full roller rocker arms. I have seen special spacers that were available

in the past to allow the use of stock valve covers with full rollers. One other thing

that you might want to consider, is to use comp cams roller tipped rocker arms. They

do fit under stock rocker covers. That's what I run on my 351W.

Will the roller tips work on a stud or do you have to use a pedestal?

I had the same issue with my current 460 build. I am going with a full hydraulic cam/ lifters and rocker arms as well. I ended up finding a new in the box vintage set of Ford Motorsport valve covers (before they became “Ford Performance”) and opted for those. I wanted something vintage from the 80’s to go with the truck. I thought about the spacers option but decided to go with a taller valve cover for simplicity sake. Still era correct, just not factory original.

The roller tip rollers on my truck use studs and are adjustable. I think some manufactures

may make some that do fit on the pedestals type mountings.
