runs good on highway but on a grade at idle taking off it cuts out and sometimes dies and hard to get started at times. Noticed the motor has a change like its muffled then goes back to sound like the clatter of a diesel. Any suggestions?

 

Welcome to FTE! Have you checked your EPBV? (exhaust back pressure valve). It sounds like it might be getting stuck closed.
