Jumping in here kind of late but I had water leak under a head gasket. It came from a water port that is completely covered by the gasket. Why they put a hole there and not one in the gasket only the engineers know. Anyway I filled my new rebuild with water and didn't get to it for a month. Buy that time water had seeped in. See the seep trails? This was on a yblock and not flathead though.
