mirror swap and folding in issue
Hey guys,
I have a 2000 with the newer mirrors (i did not install) with signals/heat (not hooked up). I recently folded in my drivers side to fit a tight squeeze and I saw the top corner part of the cover bend out. This is on the door on the top window side. It was also makes a knock sound when folded in.
My next trip down the road and there is a new whistle of air coming in through the door. Before I take it all apart i wanted to get some feedback. New seals? silicone?
Is there a normal flaw with this upgrade to newer windows because of model years? is something busted? was it possibly installed wrong? Does anybody else have a problem with folding in the mirrors? If so this is a problem others should be aware of because I need to fold these guys in a lot offroad/parking/etc

you should be able to manually fold the power mirrors. I’ve done it a number of times with no issue (mainly when i bang one side pulling in or out of the garage).

As seville said I have also done this with my power mirrors especially when I realized it after taking the garbage out later or something, so I just fold them in and no issues
