Down in the dark 6.0 side...
A topic came up about folks having friends or running into other 6.0 owners, and if we asked those folks what kind of experiences they've had, had they done or heard of bullet-proofing (a loose term I know), and even monitoring their truck's vitals.
Here is an excerpt of a post I made in that thread "down under", enjoy :
On the other hand, I AM a nosey nelley and over the years, if I'm at a hardware store or wherever - especially on camp trips, will talk to any and all 6.0 owners (and now every 6.7 owner) that is willing to chat. While I have run into a number of 6.0 folks that have fixed and either still like/love their trucks, there are those that can not wait to get rid of it. I have yet to find one that is running or aware of ANY monitoring - a few had tuners (and many of those were in the "dump it" camp, go figure...).
6.7s.... I have to be honest: nobody has anything but gushingly good things to praise about their truck... This is off topic, but still pro Ford: I ran into a contractor friend who lives by my folks -- haven't seen him in maybe 12 years. Spent some catching up and told him we got a motorhome and he said he just got a 42' 5'er with 5 slides (not a toy hauler either). I said: my gawd man, what do you Tow That Thing with?! Oh, I bought a '12 6.7 F350 and it tows like a dream (he and I both had the same Crap Generation of D'maxes, unfortunately he kept trying to fix his). He went on to say: You know, every single contractor friend I have is dumping their Dmaxs and Dodges and buying 6.7s, and they all love 'em...!

Well,
I'm in that "camp" now. I finally got to spend an entire weekend with my new truck and I will say with 100% certainty that the more time I spend behind the wheel of the 6.7 the less I miss the 6.0. I did get the opportunity to tow a couple cord of wood with the truck and I will say I was impressed.
The weekend kind of sucked because it was supposed to get Lined and the vendor I used kept my truck 2 days and never did it. I drilled my holes for the hitch in the bed and I wanted to get it buttoned up this weekend but didn't happen. Needless to say he will no longer get any business from me and I have an appointment with Linex tomorrow.
Other than that you guys were right the 6.7 group is fairly boring...we just spend time picking out our next mod, floor mats for me , decisions decisions.
