Now that I have the hood sitting in place, it sits a little high, but I can snug up the bracket handle with more tension. That might pull it down a bit more.

Built a collapsible tow hitch for if we ever break down. It can stay in the tool box going in the back for any emergencies.

The heater motor and fan(squirrel cage style) were missing. The housing was laying on the floor under the rats nest. Cleaned it up and painted with tremclad hammered rattle can. I might have the wrong shade but it was close and has a cool effect.

We had the opportunity to attend a conference for my wife in Orlando so i took the opportunity to reach out and catch up to Firstrider. With very little notice he welcomed me over on Sunday morning he set me up with my missing fan and pointed me in the direction of a 12 volt motor. Best part of the morning was the tour of his trucks. I can’t imagine the hours in each they are so fine. Thanks Denny.

I couldn’t wait and 48 hours later the truck had a fan blowing air for the first time since 1971!

had to hook it up to a battery and run it. Has anyone hooked up resistors or diodes to reduce thevolts and create a multi speed out of these single speed motors? Found an interesting link

Maybe it's just me, but I've reloaded a few times and no images show up for the fan and motor.

Got the front and rear windows in with the soapy rope. My glass came from LMC, the rear was real tight but i think we got it in well. The windshield was almost too easy. Im wondering if its cut a little small. I was thinking of filling the gaps with the acoustic windshields sealer i bought but didn’t use yet. Bottom drivers:

It was a problem on my end. Sorry! I installed an extension that checks shortened links to make sure they are safe, and it wasn't loading your image links because you were using shortened links to Flickr. I had to look at the page source for this page to find that out.
