Thermostat Housing
Anybody ever seen a thermostat housing like this?
It's in a piece of equipment I just bought and trying to learn about what I have. The previous owner said it was a 390 out of a bus. I can't find any of the engine tags except one on the block about being remanufactured C4T ZD 361, bore,main brgs, and rod brgs. No. 765349
I took the cap off and there are 2 spots for thermostats but none were in it.

This is an FT engine, this thermostat housing contains two thermostats.
No FE engine (352/360/390 etc) has a thermostat housing that contains two thermostats.
FT engines were installed in 1964/69 N500/700; 1964/78 F500/750 & B500/750 (B = school bus); 1964/78 C series Tilt Cabs and 1970/78 Louisville's.
