Not sure where you guys are seeing Laufenn. It clearly says Lexani on the sidewall. From what I've found, which is very little, they're made by Nexxen, another cheap Chinese tire company. Imo, the price of these tells me all I need to know about them. I stick to what I said before, you get what you pay for.

Interesting read - yeah, losing that much air pressure over time is a bad thing. Replace them with basically any major brand tire, and I'm sure you'll be fine.
I've used and abused many brands of tires over the years, from BFG to Goodyear to the free Nittos I got for doing a review for them. I punctured one of the Nittos with a huge bolt (which would have similarly wrecked ANY tire) and bought brand-new ones to replace two at a time. They are that good that I decided to keep them.
Stick with "E" rated tires, and if you're going to be running on sharp gravel and rocks, I'd say get the hardest highway-type tire you can find. Softer compounds meant for maximum off-road traction will be eaten up by sharp gravel and rocks. It depends on what you use the truck for - if you use 4x4 a lot and find yourself in sticky situations, you might want to opt for more of an off-road type of tire with a softer compound. On the other hand, some off-road tires are MEANT for rock crawling and can take the abuse too.
The guys here are great, and they will help you come to a decision on what to buy - in the meantime, they'll argue over what each digit of ever number on that tire means - Those things suck, move on

I was seeing Laufenn (which I say as "Laugh In" in my head ) from the link in OP's post, Tire clearly says Lexani

Would you mind posting your experience here, in the Yokohama tire review thread that we have linked in the tech folder?

There haven't been any posts or reviews and yours would be very welcome since we're getting posted feedback on other brands, but not this one yet.

No it's very relevant actually. As I said in an earlier post, most people retain the stock tire for as long as they own the vehicle. Tires have a shelf life and 18 years is well past it. I am guilty of this too - I still carry the original spare tire in my truck but I am going to replace mine soon. It's on my list to do!
I am not surprised that the tire failed either. Old spare tires are just not reliable and should be replaced!
