2017 Super Duty 6.2-question???

I just bought a 2017 super duty xlt with the 6.2l 2 weeks ago today. I have about 2100 miles on it already. Well tonight I noticed while it's idling it has a loud air hissing sound on top driver side of engine. Kinda sounds like a leaking air line on a shop air compressor. I checked all rubber lines trying to see what it may be. Is this normal on these engines???? Thanks

No air leak sounds here. Take it to your dealer and have them fix it.

Well the noise is coming from this vacuum line. Mainly around where it splits. But they could not find a crack or hole anywhere in the hose. The dealer I used only has a couple guys come in on saturdays mainly for services. Im sure if one of the more experienced techs were there they could have figured it out. They did go ahead and order a replacement hose assembly and gonna swap it out for me next weekend.

DID you get this fixed? Just picked mine up the other day and has the same sound from the same exact area. I had my sales guy show me a couple other 6.2's and they had the same sound.

I haven't done anything yet the dealership ordered me a new hose assembly to put on. They put it on the computer and its not throwing any codes. I'm starting to think it may be normal maybe the suction of the vacuum causes it with having so many bends?? I disconnected it from the air intake a put my finger over it and the noise stopped. I may just keep driving it till I get ready for my first oil change and have it changed. Noises just drive me crazy I come from a 2015 Silverado that had a bearing going out in the water pump.

I said the same thing, no codes and the other 5 6.2's did the same thing so not worth for me to bring back truck and wait on it. I had some plastic trim aliment issues too, so I wanted to get it all done at the same time. You can hear yours from outside truck? I can only hear it with the hood up

Yeah I can only hear mine with the hood up. Only reason I popped the hood while truck was idling it sounded like the fan clutch making a funny clicking noise. I guess my main problem is I just have to get used to a totally different truck with a different engine. But after owning this truck only a couple weeks Id have to say it is a fine truck. I have been completely satisfied with how the 6.2 performs and how this truck rides.
