Trying to find part name for...

My 2003 Ford Expy stalls at idle or even dies while driving. We found a frayed tube/vacuum line/hose (not sure which), but we are unable to figure out what it’s called to order a new part. One end connects to the throttle body and the other to the fuel pressure damper. Can someone please help me in figuring out the name of this part so we can order and replace it. Thank you! We had previously replaced the EGR and IAC thinking that was the issue, and now discovered this frayed part.

Could you post a pic of the hose you're talking about ? Are you talking about the vacuum tube coming off the fuel pressure regulator?

Okay, found the part and part number 2L1Z-7A785-AA, but also discovered that it’s been discontinued and have been unable to locate the part anywhere. Has anyone rebuilt one of these or know of another year/make that would work as a replacement?

thanks!

Hi,
Thank you for responding. I did find links, but when I got to those sites it tells me the part is discontinued. I even contacted local Ford dealers to see if they might have one, but no luck.

Yes. The tubing “blew out” and then frayed the outer covering.

The nylon sheathing is also available to protect the nylon lines as they are fairly delicate.
