I'm seeing recent build dates on the Window Stickers of trucks I'm finding. I wonder, is there a back log of trucks at the plant that Ford is still trying to get out or is everything to be made this year already at dealers?

 

It may still be possible for a dealer to change an order that has been placed to your build specs. It is very late in the game but conceivable. Orders placed on 8/31 and 9/2 are showing build dates of 10/8 and 10/2, and those order dates were right at the deadline for 2017 factory build orders.

If you are wanting this, I suggest you go through the build sheet and spec the truck you want and start calling around dealers. You can try Koons Ford in Baltimore. They do a good business and have excellent discounts, around 16-17% on a 2017 factory order. Finance rates are dropping and incentives increasing on the 2017 models. No better time to get exactly what you want, if it can be placed.

You'll need to get on it right away. The time for researching an ordering a 2017 is rapidly coming to an end.

I think my 2017 was built today, the date on the bottom of my window sticker changed from 9/29/17 (which it has shown for over a week) to 10/6/2017 today. So, I think production of 2017s is still going on. Doubt you could order one now, but it's worth a shot.

 

I'm wondering if units will still show up on trucks at dealers.

 

I have a 2017 f350 platinum ultimate on order. I ordered 9-14-17 my est. build date is 10-23-17 my est delivery date is 11-17-17. You may still be able to order my truck is listed as job 3.

 

Where do you find what the job number is? First I have heard of a job 3.

 

They do not start making 2018s until 11/20/17 (production start up), so they will still make 2017s until just prior to that.

Dolen has a date of 11/18 as a "Final Order Due date" I assume that someone could still get a 2017 truck order in prior to that.

I just placed an order for a 2017 F-250 Lariat 6.7 on Sept 29. I already have my order number from the factory. The dealer told me I got their last factory order for the 2017 Super Duty and the last day to place an order for a 2017 was October 2nd. I can't wait for it to come in!

 

Wondering the same: Where do you see that it is a "Job 3"? My truck finished production yesterday.

OK, I would like to know the significance of "Job Nbr". What does that mean?

 

My build date is 11/8/2017 for my 17 F250.

 

I ordered my F350 Larait SCSB on September 18th and I have an October 30th build date. My dealer said they were able to place orders until September 30th but I got the last of their 2017 allotment.
