I have had this truck for about a year and it seems the radio and LCD readout is getting dim. During the day I can hardly read them. At night with the lights on I can read fine. Is this a know problem, anyone else had this problem, what was fix?

 

That’s normal. There’ve been many threads by people complaining about how hard they are to see during the daytime. Unless something happened (such as they were fine yesterday and now bad yoday), there’s nothing that can be done.

 

Mine is dim sometimes, off sometimes, sometimes good! Will probably get a new radio

 

LOL Your not the only one with this issue, I have it in my 2011 f350 as well. If you cant live with it I would look on Craigslist or at your local auto wrecker and find one that is a take out. You can find them around the $30 mark if you keep an eye out.

It is a pain though, you cant just scan thru to your favorite station you have to stop listen and see if that is it and so on down the line, enough to drive a guy crazy

 

Did you try the dimmer Switch??

 

Thanks for all the replies. The dimmer switch does work with the lights on. I just have a hard time reading the LCD during the day with lights off. Since this is a known problem I guess I will live with it.
