It's that time of year again

Closing the camper up next week.

Here in New England most of the campgrounds close for the winter months.

In our case we have to move the campers to an upper parking lot for the winter. I will go down to the campground with the utility trailer and bring the glider, table w/ 2 chairs, flat top stove, smoker, and outdoor rug home to store.
Then over the weekend will take perishables and any liquids home.

A lot of people would think this is a pain in the a$$. But in our case it gives the campground the opportunity to cut dead trees and trim limbs. And take care of problem spots, or add to the campground.

Noting that it is a pretty close knit group of people so we do get together during the winter months. and keep up on what's going on.

Yes it is that time of year again, we left on the first with the trailer and started heading south until next spring.

At our seasonal site, folks have pretty much packed and this weekend will be the last with a big food blast. Most just leave their RV where it sits while we will be doing one more 2 week or so trip then park it in the driveway for Nov-April since we are the only ones there that do any traveling. A gathering in Feb at a restaurant usually catches up on the gossip, etc

Dang but I hate to see another season end with only about 75 nights in the 5er, down 10-12 from the last two years

It's just now getting into nice enough weather you can sit outside around here. Mid 80's expected for the next week or so. Usually gets into the 70's by November.

Gotta love Tejas..

Most campgrounds closed this weekend even though it's still 75 deg. Way above normal. Winterized ours, doing some repairs on it, cleaned and by the weekend ready to go next time, whenever that may be

We have reservations for the 17th of Nov, might have to use the furnace, but that is ok.

Nope, heated underbelly and radiant flooring. When that pic was taken it was 74F inside. Two space heaters and fireplace and the furnace only comes on once or so a hour.

We use the fresh water tank and remove the hose. If you are setup for four season camping then it is not too bad. We have camped down to single digits several times.

We have a chocolate lab. He loves the snow and will just roll around and bury himself in it.
