Another thing to consider is the higher the seat back, the less rearward travel if you need lots of leg room.
Thanks for the measurements, I thought 55 sounded too narrow.
Looks like GM seats may be the way to go for integral shoulder belts but I haven't seen the bottom of them to determine how easy they would be to modify.
