I just bought a 93 F-150 and I am new to these older vehicles but when I turn the climate control **** towards the "cool" side I can only turn the **** half way then it stops. I was just curious if this was normal or not. If I pull the **** off i can see a small tab the seems to be preventing it from turning all the way down. Thanks in advance!

 

The cable might have limited travel or be binding. Maybe a picture of the tab your referring to?

 

The first photo is the furthest I can turn the center ****

The second one is the black ring on the inside and the tab next to the round portion of the shaft.

I believe it may be the cable, I can turn the **** down more with a little pressure but it will snap back up when I let go of it.

 

Same here but it cools real good. Maybe that's normal.
